The use of the phrase "somewhat troubling" has always be somewhat troubling to me.

I dont know how, and maybe nobody does, to reconcile the covenental continuity of the OT with the NT, with the disparity between Jesus and Second temple Judaism. Some would say that Jesus simply fulfilled the OT prophecies while others say that Jesus really brought on something new. I cant help but believe both but I would love to have a way to articulate my position. "Hit me with your best shot"
