Guys, did you hear John and Deirdre got engaged??? Rock on! Congrats you two!

(Seriously, it's _wonderful_ news! John, you will always win the "So how did you guys get engaged?" game. Well, at least until I propose to my future wife at the _North Pole_. WHILE RIDING A POLAR BEAR.)

Hooray for John and Deirdre! John, what does this do to our relationship?

John--I know what led to it, and believe me we ALL understand. (anything Simeon does is worth emulating.)
Serious congratulations! Though I "know" you only through your blog, by all indicators I predict a rosy future. (Ooops-too "theol. gloria")
I mean, I hope you have a lot of suffering and pain to grow you both (noooo... too much of a downer)
Well guess I really wish for you both a richening and deepening of your faith as you enjoy the great adventure that is marriage.
And please do write about all the circumstances of the engagement that you are willing to share---we all love love!

Congrats John Zahl. Remind me to buy you a drink next time I see you.

(I think this is how I comment on your blog, I can't really tell cause it's all in Spanish, cause I'm in Bolivia... unfortunately blog terminology is not a part of my vocabulary).
